Geek Flea 7 Haul Part 1
Last month I managed to go Geek Flea 7 and much like NJCC I got a TON of GI Joes but I also got a few toys from other lines. Just so that there can be clear shots, I decided to split up the haul throughout the week.

NJCC haul

Back in March I went to NJCC which is a "local" con focusing on 80's toys. With that in mind I banked some money. Yeah, I got a lot of GI Joes, but honestly, that's pretty much all they had. Not that I mind. Much like John over at The Clawful Punch I'm in a GI Joe "mode". Plus most of them were cheap and cost about $2.50 each. Fortunately I managed to find Lioga from Beast Saga, which is the spiritual successor to Battle Beasts in Japan and a Ranger Key of Ninja Red of Kakuranger. That's the Alien Rangers over here, if you follow Power Rangers.
Bonus pic!
This is the second time I've EVER seen a USS Flagg and it still is one of the most astonishing toys EVER!

Alley-Viper 1: I knew there was a reason why they were laughing their asses off when they gave us these uniforms!
Alley-Viper 2: Clearly you're not a Star Trek fan...

Tara Toys, Combat Collectors Case
Yet another generic action figure case from Tara Toys. The one difference being the shape of the case. While most cases tended to be about 16 to 18 inches wide and the image was place horizontially, this one is vertical and more square like. And quite honestly, I don't know which one came first as this claims to be good for GI Joes and Tara Toys made an licensed GI Joe one. Another interesting thing is that the art on the front seems to be vacu-formed and not printed on the cardboard. It's pretty cool despite being shaped differently from all the other cases I have.
| The front cover, though not my actual case as the one I have is missing the vacu formed plastic sheet. |
| This is what the interior trays look like and where I keep Zartan and the Dreadnoks! |

Toy Fail
There are some really misguided, dastardly collectors in my area. How could you give up a Zartan for a Black Panther? Not that there's anything wrong with Black Panther but at least use something else! Lol. These people... :(

Good news everybody!!!
So I finally fixed my GOOD phone, so I have a GOOD camera on that phone and I can start taking pictures again. If only I could find my USB cable for my regular camera... Well, in the meanwhile enjoy this pic that I didn't realize I had on Picasa.

Action Figure Appreciation Day
So tomorrow is Action Figure Appreciation Day and you basically share pics of action figures and celebrate them. So since things are winding down a bit from working with Bah'Glenn Creations, which is why I've been gone for about 2 months now, I thought I'd share a pic. I'll try to post some more but I'm stuck with a crappy camera on my current phone. With that said enjoy the posts to come!

Cobra
Commander makes Baron Ironblood wait with Destro, while Swamp Viper TK
421 brings over Copperhead a newly upgraded Water Moccasin, code named:
Fangboat. It's Copperheads reward for years of service and wiping out a
squad of Greenshirts. Unfortunately for TK 421, he has training with
Croc Master, who doesn't like to be kept waiting.

Destro = Nazi?!?!
As any hardcore G.I. Joe fan knows, this weekend is JoeCon, the annual official convention. Looking through pictures for upcoming products I notice something peculiar about the new Destro which I believe is from the Resolute animation. This version and the Rise of cobra figures have very Nazi-ish look to them.
I find it interesting because while Destro is not a Nazi, customizer, myself included, see Destro as a great base for Captain America's most dreaded enemy, the Red Skull. The hardest part of making the Red Skull is finding a suitable head or making one yourself thanks to the great Nazi-like bodies that Hasbro has created.
