Wow, I haven't gotten this guy yet but I definitely plan to!
Guess I'll settle with getting The Rhino from Marvel Universe for now...

Geek Flea 7 Haul Part 2
I managed to find some Transformers I've looking for that are rather recent, for only $5 each! I'm starting to think these little shows are WAY better than big ones like NYCC or SDCC when it comes to finding bargains!

Geek Flea 7 Haul Part 1
Last month I managed to go Geek Flea 7 and much like NJCC I got a TON of GI Joes but I also got a few toys from other lines. Just so that there can be clear shots, I decided to split up the haul throughout the week.

Hasbro, COPS- Bulletproof
Ah... COPS. One of the few lines that I go outside the 3 3/4"- 1:18 scale. Not alot toylines centered around a police force and this one came on to the scene with a bang. No, really, it's literally came on to the scene with a bang because of it's cap firing features. Those were the good ole' days when toy guns looked like guns and a not afraid of them in the sense that a kid would be scared witless because someone else brought one to school. I actually read about that in a news article.
Anyhow, getting away from the politics of guns and gun control. B.P. Vess aka Bulletproof here is the leader of the Central Organization of Police Specialists or C.O.P.S. As a kid I really liked this show and due to the lows in Joe and Transformer collecting, I've managed to pick up a few here and there. Expect more COPS figures in the future. :)

Hasbro, Star Wars 6" Black Series, Sandtrooper
BONUS POST since I missed Tuesday. Sorry guys!
Yup, I did it, I got a 6" figure. I know, know, you're probably say, "But Vic. you don't really collect 6" figures. You're a 3 3/4" guy. What happened?" I'll tell you what happened. It was 2 things, curiosity and everybody raving over it. Peer pressure in a way, but not really. Peer pressure is what convinced to get one after hemming and hawing. I mean, I was curious but I wanted to hear what everyone else had to say first and dammit, everyone was right, this figure is great!
Does this mean I'll become a hardcore 6" collector? Heck no! Besides this is STAR WARS and like most GEN Xers in their late 30's to early 40's, Star Wars is pretty influential in their geekly pursuits. Star Wars is one of the exceptions of why I would cross the 3 3/4" barrier. That said, super cool figure, if you could find one and definitely worth getting!

Hasbro, COPS- Longarm Redux
I've shown off Longarm from the COPS line before but this is a new one that came with accessories. He's still not 100% complete but it's better than the one one I had gotten before. Expect more for from this line in the future! :)

One step closer to a complete Hall of Armors
So I FINALLY found this set about 2 or 3 weeks ago! Can you believe it?
Marvel Universe has been rather scarce in my local TRUs, besides the fact that there are TONS of collectors and scalpers. What can I say? It's NYC!
Though I really like all the figures in this set including the not so derpy Thor, the gem in this set for me is the Iron Man. My collection felt a bit empty w/o Tony's 2nd armor. So now I have every Marvel Universe/ Iron Man 2 Comic armor. Yay! I should start planning to build a Hall of Armors display.... :D

It came from eBay! COPS- Longarm
So I just got this in the mail yesterday off of eBay for $1 + shipping. Which was more that the item but still reasonable. $4 all together. And just in time for a COPS marathon!
Unfortunately he didn't come with any accessories but it's pretty cool on it's own. He also has what seems to be stains from a black marker. His hair should be brighter too. I tried to clean it up as best as I could without having to resort to cleaning agent that would strip the paint off. Either way, not bad for $4 and I'm sure I'll find the rest of his parts and maybe a replacement head at a toy show I'll be working in July.

Destro = Nazi?!?!
As any hardcore G.I. Joe fan knows, this weekend is JoeCon, the annual official convention. Looking through pictures for upcoming products I notice something peculiar about the new Destro which I believe is from the Resolute animation. This version and the Rise of cobra figures have very Nazi-ish look to them.
I find it interesting because while Destro is not a Nazi, customizer, myself included, see Destro as a great base for Captain America's most dreaded enemy, the Red Skull. The hardest part of making the Red Skull is finding a suitable head or making one yourself thanks to the great Nazi-like bodies that Hasbro has created.

You can't win them all...
So last night I attempted to dye my spare Sunswipe (Sideswipe w/Sunstreaker head) black so that I'm one step closer to making Deep Cover and the experiment failed. And what an epic fail it was!
Granted I did manage to dye all the parts I wanted black but it came at a heavy price.
Apparently MOST of the parts shrunk in the dye solution. I don't know if it's because I left the parts in for too long, had a too much acetone in the mix (1 cup of acetone w/ 3 cups of dye and water) or something else. Even worse is that the hood of the car got warped, so even if it didn't shrink it could even line up evenly with the rest of the parts. Perhaps my friend @ COTU World could help me out? Either way I now have spare parts that'll probably go towards Tigertrack.
Here's a example of the warping of the hood. I'd show more but the hood alone shows everything.
